Wind restraint (type I)
Holds a base-isolated building in place under wind and minor actions and releases it during a strong earthquake.
Besides the bearings themselves, a base-isolated building needs devices that hold it in place under wind, resist uplift forces and cover the isolation gap without restricting displacements during an earthquake.

The second version of the wind restraint. Chosen by loads and the manufacturer's catalogue.
Resists tensile (uplift) forces so that the isolation bearings do not work in tension.
An uplift restraint for FPS friction pendulum bearings.
Covers the isolation gap at floors and entrances without restricting building displacement during an earthquake.
A rubber bearing for stair flights: it prevents the stairs from acting as a rigid link between parts of the building during an earthquake.
Diagrams are schematic. Parameters, versions and documents are per the manufacturer's catalogue and the project analysis.
Send us information about the building and, if available, the structural model — we will prepare a preliminary solution and the manufacturer's documents.
